Terrapin’s Trove is a small business that makes dice, accessories, and adventures for tabletop role-playing games with the goal of being as eco-friendly as possible.
The idea for Terrapin’s Trove came about in 2024 during a search for eco-friendly dice. Unfortunately, since the majority of dice are created with resins, we don’t have biodegradable materials we can use to cast them. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t make them in more eco-friendly ways. We plan to do just that. Thus, Terrapin’s Trove was conceived.
Terrapin’s Trove casts beautiful, high-quality dice with eco-friendly supplies made by companies we are happy to support. The journey has only just begun, though. We will always continue to research and improve practices to ensure we are reducing resin and material wastes, recycling and reusing what we can, upcycling, and more.
Hello, world! I’m Timothy, and I created Terrapin’s Trove with support from my best friend, fiancée, and elf-lady, Amber.
A few years ago, I stepped into the world of Dungeons & Dragons thanks to a local gaming bar that started running one-shots. This led to me listening to podcasts of actual-play adventures and thoroughly enjoying many episodes from Critical Role, the Glass Canon Network, and others. I took a deeper dive when I purchased core D&D rulebooks and started running a game for myself and Amber that has turned into a 2-year-and-counting campaign. As a result, we’ve collected a few beautiful, handcrafted dice from small shops that we really appreciate.
I am a jack-of-all-trades type of person, so as with any of my hobbies, I started researching several aspects of TTRPGs. This ranged from writing my own adventures to making things from scratch like dice trays and eventually casting dice. One thing led to another, and now I’m here offering beautiful, high-quality, handcrafted products to the community I love so much.
